We occasionally have specialty eggs that exceed the normal parameters. You can find those here, when they are available.
What you may see available:
- Pullet Eggs - From young hens who are new layers. Small eggs with the highest yolk to white ratio. A typical egg yolk will comprise 30-35% of the total egg weight, but pullet eggs are around 60%. These little eggs are perfect for pickling, salads, or any yolk lover! Often sought after by chefs for the increased richness.
- Rainbow Eggs - A variety of eggs in various sizes and a beautiful array of colors that may include: blue, green, olive, sage, and a variety of brown shades including dark chocolate brown, speckled brown, pink-ish brown, as well as shades of cream or white. We cannot guarantee any specific combination as we cannot control what is laid, but we do our very best to include the widest and most stunning color variety available at the time of gathering.
- Dinosaur Eggs - Massive eggs weighing in at 2.75 oz each (compared to 2 oz for large, 2.25 XL, and 2.5 Jumbo). Large golden yolks, great for breakfast!
-
Megalodon Eggs - Running out of names for our exceptionally massive eggs, our Megalodon Eggs weight in at a whopping 3 oz per egg! Absolutely monstrous chicken eggs, massive yolks, and a size comparable to duck eggs.
Experience the freshness and quality of our Farm Fresh Eggs. Each egg is hand-gathered daily from our flock, weighed and inspected, ensuring the freshest and most flavorful eggs possible.
Eggs that are clean from the coop remain unwashed to keep the bloom in tact, however, we do wash any eggs that have debris (more frequently in damp weather). Your carton will be labeled appropriately.
All of our eggs are priced relative to the total weight.
Each carton has a $1 carton surcharge added - use code RECYCLE at checkout to take $1 off your order if you are returning your old carton at the time of pickup or delivery. We do this to reduce the use of single use plastics.
